Here’s what I know I’m about:
I’m about six feet tall. Well, I used to be. I think I shrank a couple of inches in the recent rain. That or my local gravity is greater than it is for most people.
I’m about 59, about !@#$%^&* pounds overweight, and about $!@#$%^&* in debt along with about 85% of the rest of the country.
I’m about average for most things I turn my hand to – not an expert but not usually an out-and-out klutz – which I hope makes me about right for writing about nothing in particular and about everything that occurs to me when I get the urge. Which can be about several times a day at times, as I scout about looking for another gig (tech writing or whatever; anything that brings in a revenue stream that just about allows us to pay all our bills).
I’ve also been dabbling in creative writing and I guess I have about 30 different ideas or projects that are in various stages of development, some of which I will inevitably end up writing about here.
I’ve been married to Casey, my better half, for about 17 years now, and I’m still nuts about her. (She’d probably comment: “Drop the ‘about her‘ and you’d be more accurate…)
We used to have two “rescue” cats that we were both nuts about – Angel and Tom – whereas the cats were just, well, nuts. However, sad to say that in early 2012 after almost sixteen years of companionship we lost them both (one to bone cancer, the other to heart failure) and the gaping holes they left behind will never be filled. They were both more like peers than offspring, which may or may not say something deep about my psyche.
I’m interested in just about anything and everything, some of which I’ll get around to writing about in this blog.
And as you might guess, I’m partial to wordplay
